SMEs, Charities, and Supported Businesses based in Scotland

Benefits to SMEs based in Scotland that are registered with SDP include:

  • Access to any SDP event in any area of Scotland – all free
  • Free attendance at Meet the Buyer, Meet the Buyer North, and Meet the Buyer South, as well as local “Meet the Real Buyer” events that provide face-to-face access to Buyers from public and private sector organisations
  • Full access to information, resources, toolkits and templates on the SDP website that are designed with you in mind
  • Option to include your company listing on SDP’s Supplier Register, which can be viewed by other Scottish-based SMEs and Buyers
  • Receive regular e-bulletins
  • Access to a local business support network
  • Same course content to suit your learning style – digital via webinar, or traditional classroom-style delivery of training

Buyers and Public Sector Organisations – Members of SDP

Enjoy SDP support for your supplier engagement training and events in relation to your procurement opportunities. Once registered and approved, you will have access to:

  • Event management and booking services
  • Marketing and promotion of your contract opportunities, business support and supplier engagement events.
  • Access to SDP’s Supplier Register
  • Information on local suppliers, including ways to communicate directly with them
  • Delivery of SDP training and events in your local area, region, and nationally, including information on SME attendance, engagement and additional stats
  • Exclusive “early bird” access to register for Meet the Buyer, Meet the Buyer North, and Meet the Buyer South, as exhibitors, the cost of which is included in your SDP membership fee
  • SDP Buyer-side e-newsletter
  • Build your Buyer profile, including contact information and business support that may be available

Buyers and Public Sector Organisations – Non-Members of SDP

If you are in the public sector, but your organisation has not yet joined as a member, you can still keep up to date with our events and training by signing up to our newsletter to keep up to date with all things SDP and the projects we are working on.

Once registered, and your account is authenticated and approved, you will have access to:

  • SDP’s Supplier Register
  • Exclusive “early bird” access to register for paid exhibition space at Meet the Buyer, Meet the Buyer North, and Meet the Buyer South
  • View all upcoming SDP training and events
  • Information on how to become an official, paid Member of SDP to unlock the full benefits of the Programme

SMEs not based in Scotland

The funding for the Supplier Development Programme covers Scottish SMEs, Third sector, Charities and Supported businesses. However, for those businesses out with these categories, you can still keep up to date with our open events, such as Meet the Buyer by registering and signing up to our newsletter.

Once registered, you will have access to:

  • Register to attend Meet the Buyer, Meet the Buyer North, and Meet the Buyer South
  • Register to attend eligible SDP partner events

Larger Businesses

The funding for the Supplier Development Programme covers Scottish SMEs, Third sector, Charities and Supported businesses. However, as a larger business, your organisation may wish to joining SDP as a Corporate Member, in the interim you can still keep up to date with our open events, such as Meet the Buyer by registering and signing up to our newsletter.

Once registered, you will have access to:

  • Register to attend Meet the Buyer, Meet the Buyer North and Meet the Buyer South
  • Register to attend eligible SDP partner events
