1.2 Using PCS and PCS-Tender - Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) Framework Opportunity

Wednesday 5 April 2023, 2:00-3:30pm

Partner Event

Co-operative models are collaborative vehicles that play an important role in creating globally competitive businesses, industries and infrastructure in Scotland.  They enable employees, businesses and communities to work together to fulfil shared interests.  This unlocks creativity and capacity. There is growing evidence that they increase productivity, innovation and growth - whilst achieving wider societal benefits.

At this aligned tender training event, you'll learn from SDP's expert trainer how to bid for the contract - and even participate in a live demonstration of Public Contracts Scotland!

Scottish Enterprise and Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) provide support to companies and community groups that want to adopt employee ownership or co-operative business models - including consortium, community, platform and worker co-operatives - and want to raise awareness of the benefits of these models on business performance.

CDS is looking to appoint a number of suppliers to a framework to enable access to experienced co-operative and community business advisors. The framework opportunity is currently live on Public Contracts Scotland.

It is anticipated that the framework will start in early May 2023 for a period of 24 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months if required. The framework will cover:

  • Support to start ups
  • Support to existing Co-ops
  • Support to CDS

This is an excellent opportunity for business consultancy companies to hear more about this contract opportunity and to provide input into how this service should be shaped. Businesses of all sizes are welcome to attend wherever they are based, but this supplier engagement event is aimed at SMEs and social enterprises based in Scotland.
