Support for Communities Framework

Thursday 10 February 2022, 10:30-11:30am

Partner Event

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) have recently published the Contract Notice for its Support for Communities Framework.

The Framework is an alternative means of providing a range of practical hands-on support to community-led organisations that lack the capacity or a particular skill-set to timeously progress an opportunity.

The main types of support across a range of sectors are as follows:

  • Project Management/Delivery
  • Project Development
  • Performance Management
  • Financial and Procurement

Cutting across all of these activities will be the themes of Fair Work, Net Zero, and Sustainability. It should be noted that there may be specific projects commissions with a clear focus on Net Zero, Fair Work, and Sustainability activity.

It is designed to be more responsive, flexible and better able to meet the needs of a much broader range of clients to deliver significant impacts, especially in our remote areas.

This is added value support and must complement the existing social enterprise support ecosystem and therefore must not duplicate services already available via other public sector organisations (eg Business Gateway, Just EnterpriseSupplier Development Programme etc).

The aim of this webinar is to raise awareness and to support suppliers to ensure you understand more about the tender opportunity and process.  It is in support of, but does not replace, the information which will be provided through Public Contracts Scotland (PCS). Attendance is not required in order to participate in the tendering process and following the event, a link to the webinar recording, along with the presentation and any questions and answers raised will be made available via PCS.
